17 June 1997: As far as I can tell the Import Shoot out in Houston is a Hoax, In talking with the Bonez Racing they said that they would think about maybe having an event in Dallas. this is still up in the air. You would like to have an import event in Dallas this summer please send e-mail to Jon Bonez.

10 June 1997: I called the Houston Raceway Park to find out about the "Import Shoot Out". Here is the answer I got. "What, What an import shoot out, are you smokin crack? We don't have any kinda import shoot out on our events for this year"
